This custom deck build in Pine Junction, Colorado was designed to complement the rustic charm of a mountain home while offering the durability and low maintenance of modern materials. The homeowners were looking for a unique outdoor space that would serve as both a functional extension of their home and a natural gathering place to enjoy the scenic views.
We designed a fully custom structure anchored by large, hand-selected log posts, giving the deck a bold, rugged look that ties seamlessly into the wooded surroundings. The natural wood elements add character and warmth, while still maintaining structural integrity and long-term stability.
For the decking surface, we used TimberTech composite boards, which provide the beauty of real wood without the hassle of staining, splintering, or warping. These boards are built to handle Colorado’s extreme temperature swings and require minimal upkeep — ideal for high-altitude living. The look is finished off with sleek black metal railings, offering a clean, modern contrast to the rustic frame while maximizing visibility and safety.
The end result is a stunning, functional space perfect for morning coffee, evening gatherings, or simply soaking in the mountain air.
